The MST was delighted to welcome some distinguished visitors to the MST Museum recently. Rabbi Ellen Weinberg Dreyfus, Rabbi Emerita of B’nai Yehuda Beth Sholom in Homewood IL (holders of MST#1153 from Votice and MST#1429 from Kladno) and former President of the CCAR joined her husband, Dr James Dreyfus, who was invited to London to speak as part of the celebration of 75 years of the Association for Jewish Refugees. As the great-grandson of Rabbi Dr Leo Baeck z”l, Dr Dreyfus joined Lord Dubs, Naomi Gryn and Fritz Lustig on a panel recognising and celebrating the contribution to Britain of the refugee community.
The MST was honoured that the Dreyfus family took the time during their brief visit to London to take in the MST Scrolls Museum. Rabbi Dreyfus shared some stories from their visits to the Czech Republic Рleading High Holyday services in Prague, and visiting the towns of origin for the scrolls cared for by her community Рand discussed the ways these special scrolls continue to transmit Jewish values from generation to generation.
