Professor Chimen Abramsky was a distinguished scholar of Hebrew language and literature.  He was appointed Goldsmith Professor of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at London University and a Senior Fellow of St. Antony’s College, Oxford.  He was also an adviser on Judaica at Sotheby’s.  Ralph Yablon arranged for him to travel to Prague and to report on the condition of the scrolls.
